One Third of the World’s Fish Catch is Used for What?

One-third of the world's ocean fish catch is ground up and used to feed pigs, chickens and farm-raised fish. This is a potential problem for marine ecosystems and a waste of a resource that could directly nourish humans, since it accounts for 37 percent, or 31.5 million tons, of all fish taken from the world's oceans each year.

Industrial agriculture is not sustainable. It only causes suffering to God’s animals, contributes to human diseases and hunger, and to environmental degradation. It is imperative that humanity transitions to plant-based diet before it is too late and the harm irreversible.
